Firewire to Thunderbolt cable?

Does anyone know where i can find a cable that can connect latest MacBook pro (4 x USB-C Thunderbolt ports) to an old firewire device - the one with the largish socket with a 'v' shape at one end. Any help appreciated. thanks

I think that you need an adaptor, rather than a simple cable, there are some on ebay, see here,- I don't know if they're available in TRNC though...

Thanks Keith, i am not based in Europe - working elsewhere and only home in Cyprus for short trips at present and was hoping someone might know a shop in TRNC that has either the adaptor or adaptor plus cable - so i don't waste time and effort searching during my limited time home in a few weeks time. Where I'm working we can't even get fresh tomatoes - let alone post!

You could try the Apple reseller in Girne, just down the hill on the left hand side from the main car park.

There's also a shop which sells Apple products in the 1001 Airport Mall, afraid that I can't remember the name of the place.

thanks - i know the shop you mean, like a computer and electronics place at the end once you turn left through entrance, I will try. thanks everyone
