Kindle Fire HD Charger Port Repair

Hi, My Charger Port on my Kindle Fire HD is not working, I know this as I have a couple of chargers and they work fine on my wife's Kindle.

Can anyone suggest a repair shop or person, I have tried Laconic and Hay-Pem Elecronik but they cannot help.

Are you sure it does not just need rebooting

Mine will only charge if put it face down then the charging light stays on.

Not trying to teach Grandmother to suck eggs, but this happened to me last year, had visions of having to buy a new one. Just out of curiosity I used the charger from my husbands mobile and it worked first time. Maybe you've tried all other options though? I do know of I chap on one of the back streets who would have a go however, (flippin genious with one of my smart phones) but if it is the actually bit inside the port, then he won't be able to assist.

If you go South there is a place called Iprofix near TGI Fridays who repair most things you could phone them to ask

Try Ardic which is next door to Funky Diva in Karakum. He can fix most things

have you tried talking to amazon,found them very helpful.

thank you all for your input, i'm on the case, I will try Ardic first and then Iprofix
