Under 60s residency renewal?
Having read all I can on the BRS site on renewing residency, there is one issue I am still not clear on
My wife is under 60 and a blood donor, does she still have to get an XRay?
The BRS site clarifies the blood bit but the XRay seems to get forgotten, or is it no longer required

Yes, meant to. There has been occasions (few!) when the person who was dealing with it all seems to have forgotten, but so far none have got as far as collecting their renewals so they wont know if they have got away with it until they get to Lefkosa!! If you are asked to have an Xray be careful what they charge you - it should not be a more than about 40tl max - some places have been trying to get away with asking 100!!!

Done residency this morning at Famagusta. No trouble, Police first documents checked (copy of passport and residency page, Muhkta's letter 1.6tl stamp needed copy of contract with the official stamps on back page, bank statements and pink cards then off to state hospital for blood and x ray. Minus 135tl later back to police station for completion of application. Whole thing done and dusted within 2 1/2 hrs including travelling. If you are a first timer you will need a further 11.5tl stamp.
Just wait for the results now then Lefkosia to be relieved of more money

Thanks mick, no it is renewal, as stated my wife is under 60 and is a blood donor, just needed to know if she required an XRay, will have to wait until I escort her to the police station and see what they say, normally we have a trouble free sail through the whole experience, this will be the first time with an unknown, still have a couple of months yet for the path to be smoothed out
mick have you seen what hoops the British government make you jump through and the costs to retire to the UK as a foreigner
