Large flock of cranes seen on Lapta walkway at 11am flying west, anyone else see them?

we were walking along there about same time and saw a flock of birds. My wife thought they might be cranes.

A TC friend suggests they may have been migrating storks.? Any ideas from anyone else?

Were they making any noise? E.g. honking?

Storks have no means of calling to each other instead they clap their long beaks. So if they were making vocal calls they were not storks.

Reently I have seen large flocks of cranes on the roads in Ozankoy. Accompanied by bulldozers, pre mix concrete lorries, mobile generators, pneumatic drills, deliveries of bricks and pipes etc. etc. and clouds of dust enough to scare the bravest birds away
