Selling Land in TRNC
Dear Forum members your advice and guidance has always been very beneficial to me and I would like help again ! My uncle who lives in the UK has inherited some land in TRNC which he has a kocan for in his own name however he does not have a kimlik card. Can he still sell the land without a kimlik ?

I can see no reason why not.
Very few British ex-pats have managed to acquire kimliks, and yet it doesn't prevent them from owning and selling property in TRNC.
I think that the lack of a kimlik is irrelevant to the sale.

Keith is right he just has to prove identity which in his case is presumably his UK passport. If he cannot personally come to attend the transfer he would have to give a TRUSTED person POA to act for him & collect the money.

Re: Selling Land in TRNC
Hi DenizIsmail,
Yes it is absolutely possible, I have done it. I was in the Uk and instructed a Legal Advisor I had dealt with before to handle the sale and hold the monies for me until I came out to the TRNC when I then collected a cheque and deposited the money in a bank account in the TRNC. A word of warning, if your relative is selling through an Estate Agent make sure that you nail them down on the commision they will charge to sell. For some strange reason some will charge a higher rate for the sale of Land compared to a house.
