You may never have heard of this make, but assure you they are sold in their millions world wide and I love them. Mine was purchased in UK just before the registration of imported phones came into being. I have used it a lot especially the video facility and the battery is clearly failing. I have traipsed all over the place and been to Turkcell, Telsim. big shops and smaller back street shops and given the same information. " you will need to take it to Turkey" One shop even said "its is the same with most other makes, we only have Samsung and iPhone batteries" I have already had to sent a back up phone to Turkey i.e. a Motorola to have a replacement battery, but I thought that was because it was four years old.
If anyone knows better than the above, I would be very grateful to know. Thanks

Try searching EBAY, but use Huawei as the brand. PO box in the South makes delivery easy.

If all else fails try this link....
https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?ca ... ne+battery
There seem to be several sellers with free shipping.
As a matter of interest are there any import duties payable on low value items under £10 or £15 or so?

Re: Wuawei Mobiles
I purchased in a sale down South, an Alcapet phone and spent rather more than you are suggesting. However you can't get a TRNC SIM card for it, without going to Lefkosa to registered it and then Customs in Girne to pay the Import duty. Without signed and stamped paperwork to show Turkcell or Telsim you won't get a SIM card, regardless of the cost of the phone. BTW, if you have a passport rather than a kimlik card, then you must take it to Lefkosa - driving license as proof of identity is not enough.
