laptop and turkish airlines

flying later this week back to the uk

short stop in Istanbul then on to Edinburgh

what is the latest with laptops, is it hold luggage or have the rules changed?

Flown twice recently Ercan--Dublin, took laptop in hand luggage both times.

Flew back Saturday 14th to Edinburgh. Laptops now OK in hand luggage. Saw some travellers with them, so I asked security at Istanbul, and he confirmed it.

Flew yesterday Ercan computers in hand luggage not removed
Ataturk computers in separate tray through scanners then back to had luggage no problems
