Funding for Taskent Nature Park?

On another thread about the increase in Vet's fees Kemal very generously has made an offer to see if he can contribute to KAR's costs.
The Park sounds an amazing place & we all want to help wildlife to thrive it is great that he is being so proactive.
I have not however seen any requests for donations/charity events for this venture so wonder where they get their funds from?

Why don't you simply ask them that question?
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Taskent Nature Park is a non-profit company/charity/organization.

Our organization is structured a bit differently to societies/clubs you would normally find here on the island.

All of the operations of Taskent Nature Park is currently privately funded, but that does not include only the charitable activities.

We have and are establishing a number of income generating businesses(and some others under progress/being planned). Although everything is currently at its infancy, the plan is to generate enough income that is sufficient for overall operational expenses.

Some of the income generating activities include:

1. Taskent Picnic Area(Operational since March 2017)
It is an area where people and families can come for picnic, but the place also has a market and a restaurant, It is right next to a 11th century Monastery and only 3km away from Buffavento Castle. Its a nice place to chill, has nice view of the capital Lefkosa and the beer is only 6TL a bottle .

2. Agriculture
2.1 Since 2016, we are cultivating 2000donums of barley on behalf of Nature Park. https://www.facebook.com/taskentdogapar ... 515474991/
2.2 We have recently started a barley/wheat processing plant that processes our own crops into seeds as well as processes others for a fee. https://www.facebook.com/taskentdogapar ... 3319274910

3. Sapling production
We have set up greenhouses at Nature Park and we are germinating and rooting saplings that we will use in the Park as well as sell extras for income.

4. Nature Park
4.1 We will run a cafe at the park when opens
4.2 We will operate a souvenir shop when park opens
4.3 We may charge an entrance fee or small fees for extra activities (mostly targeted towards children)

5. Wildlife Hospital and Animal Labratory
We are planning to provide professional laboratory services for Vet Clinics

on top of above, we may consider the following in the future
6. Grants
7. Donations
8. Sponsorships

---
We currently have 1x Veterinary Physician, 1x Wildlife Biologist, 2x Zoologists, 1x Zootechnic, 3x Agricultural Engineers on a full time basis. We also work with various expert individuals and organizations in Cyprus as well as abroad.

With all that barley and wheat, throw in a bit of yeast and they could start brewing their own beer. That would be a fund raiser!!

Thank you for such a comprehensive & informative answer I had no idea it was such a massive undertaking! It seems that the wildlife of Cyprus are going to benefit enormously from the foresight & generosity of the philanthropic benefactor/s. Let's hope they have deep pockets as such a wide encompassing investment is going to take a few years to start paying for itself - good luck!

An honourable, top man too who has led from the front in attempting a genuine aid to the environment. His MM leadership was also excellent. Keep going Kemal.
