Planting bulbs

Trying to plant some bulbs but the ground is fighting back I remember in the UK seeing a special tool that when pushed into the ground it dug and took out a perfect hole to drop the bulb into. Help has anyone seen these here anywhere???

Soak the ground well with lots of water where you want to plant and let it soak in, you will then find you can plant normally without the ground being like concrete

Thank you, found one at Mediterranean garden shop. It's ground that has been under gravel for about 12 years so very hard and I've not got big muscles lol.
