I'm somewhat intrigued by the differences regarding posts - in the last six topics (at time of this post), one post has attracted only 10 replies but over 1000 views; three have attracted 15/16 replies with two viewed over 800 times and the third only 564.
It's probably NOT the case, but I wonder whether the number of views is an accurate representation, or whether (in some cases) inflated by viewers returning to check (for updates) without checking whether the number of actual replies has changed....?
(It's the sort of "facts/statistics" that make politics and news stories around the world! )

Re: Degrees of Interest
Why not ask 'admin' - some bulletin boards actively track all viewings, postings and locations (either country or IPs) in order to monitor and improve their 'audience figures'

jofra, I suspect many of the "views" are people like me. Some descriptions in a new Topic Box, are so bonkers I open them up just to view the subject matter. Most of the time they are of no interest to me at all.

Me too. And sometimes I come back because I cannot believe what I read the first time!
