This is what the GC President had to say?

“The aim is to make the Republic of Cyprus become a normal state without gurantees, military bases and Turkish military presence and the right of intervention as Turkey wants,” Anastasiades said. He reiterated the accusation that Turkey was responsible for the collapse of the Cyprus negotiations in Crans-Montana and that Turkey wanted Cyprus to be a Turkish base for its military.

And by the way he is ahead within the voting polls ?

Well, he obviously thinks that "If you are going to tell a lie, then tell a BIG one!"

and

"If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it"

Cyprus Solution: About this time of year in 1964 I was passing through the entrance foyer of the SBA Admin. HQ in Episkopi, when the voice of someone obviously frustrate beyond bearing floated down from the stairs saying: "I think we should sent a gunboat and SINK Cyprus!"

Has anything changed in the last 60 odd years?

If at first you don't succeed then try, try and try again

There's the rub.... They have succeeded.. The north remains essentially isolated from all but Turkey who in turn is demonized as an aggressive force of occupation and the ROC rump occupies the moral high-ground in blatant contradiction of true nature of the facts...

There is little incentive for a united Cyprus as they have no intention of sharing or fair play.
