Re: Uk practising doctor.
Do not know of any UK based doctors, but there are 2 excellent doctors at the Near East Hospital in Karakum. Doctor Turk and Doctor Silem both speak excellent English and are very knowledgeable and very caring.

I very much doubt a UK-based doctor will be licensed to practice here unless registered with the TRNC Health Ministry, Turkish speaker etc.

and if Nat. Health registered he would almost certainly be in breach of contract if he practised in another country and even more important the terms of his professional indemnity insurance.

Re: Uk practising doctor.
Its strange on her how you ask a simple question which can be answered easily but the PC he or her come into play. What a world we live in. I know there are wonderful doctors here and know dr Turk and no I am not starting a surgery. Or creating Frankenstein.. It's just that a very good doctor here has made a prognosis that when being read by a doctor in the uk seems to suggest something different than the doctor here said. So I wanted to get a uk doctor to read it and see if the wording was wrongly interpreted. Ok no mysteries or skullduggery.

Re: Uk practising doctor.
Simple question yes. BUT lost in translation right from the start - understandably - The question did say MUST STILL BE PRACTICING
When you wanted someone with a good medical background and knowledge which doesn't disappear on retirement or simply when you stop practicing.

Re: Uk practising doctor.
No more replies please obviously no one can help. We have a view from a prominent doctor here that a nursing home me in the uk seem to interpret differently from that given by the TRNC doctor. They will accept a second opinion but it must be from a practising doctor. Hope that explains it so no more speculation we will find another way.
