Selling Dolci gusto coffee pods.... stocked up on a few boxes.

Anyone spotted Nespresso pods this side yet?

I looked this side a few weeks ago but no sign of Nespresso Pods. I may consider getting a Dolce Gusto machine if the price is reasonable....

Loads of real and substitute Nespresso in the South - even Starbucks have their own pods that fit them and I do like Starbucks coffee. Strange that they have not taken off here as they are very popular in Turkey as well. It will happen sooner or later, a bit like when the curried beans reappear on the shelves - lol.

Tempo in Esentepe also had the Dolce Gusto machines, but didn't notice the price.

Never seen the Nespresso pods this side, but maybe one day.

We have asked for Nespresso pods in Sah, they took note so maybe coming soon. Until then loads of places in the South do compatible ones, including Lidl.

Dolce gusto machines in Erdener two models 650 tl and 530 tl

Moonage did you buy Lidl pods on the Greek side if so which store please? We have looked in the one we normally go to (near the big cinema not far from Alpha Mega) but have not seen them.
Our son uses them in UK & says they are good whereas the Dolce Gusto ones often malfunctioned & upset our machine.

Ozankoys, the Lidl you go to stocks those pods for sure, I often pick them up from there as well as some from Alfa Mega (opposite MacD's) then wander round to Superhome and pop into Starbucks for coffee (down by all the Uni flats) where they also sell Nespresso type pods with their own coffee inside.

Be a bit careful of the ones in Alfa Mega as some of them need "adapting" before they will work properly! I have found that those pods that do not work well need to be "punctured" with a sharp knife before you put them in the machine. Look at where all the puncture marks on the base of a good pod are and use it as a guide to pre-puncture the dodgy pods! Be careful buying any pods from eBay and having friends bring them over for you - you can get them at a really good price but the coffee inside is never all that good. Still would not change my Nespresso machine for any other sort, it is just too easy to use.

Thanks we will have to look again then, maybe they were out of stock when we went. Stupid question but were they with the other coffee?
Will never use the ones from AM again I was in a real panic when the machine would not work luckily himself managed to revive it!

The company that took over the Carrefour shops also sell coffee pods for the different makes of machine. We have managed to get boxes of 10 at reasonable prices, Bueno Gusto and Davidoff brands for Nespresso. As Waddo says, you need to be careful as they can be difficult to pierce and sometimes get stuck in the machine.

Any faults with Nespresso machines - just google the fault, never yet have I had a fault that has not been cured by a remedy posted via Google!!! Most faults are just air in the system and that is simple to cure. I have an old stove top "bluper" coffee pot from Australia, made out of an alloy and many, many years old. Always make good coffee in that and use good fresh coffee beans and grind them myself but for ease of use the Nespresso is the one of choice for me. Even the decaff pods are good!!
