Nicosia Old Hospital

I need to go to the south tomorrow for Yellow Fever vaccination and I’m told it is the hospital near the presidential palace in Nicosia and you can walk it from Ledra Street.

Does anyone know the hospital near there.I think it’s supposed to be allied Nicosia Old Hospital.

Yes it is around there. I went for same, down ledra street and out of the gate at the end. If you stand with your back to Ledra street it is off to your right.

Hi.Im not sure what you mean by the gate at the end.I know there is a road at the end of Ledra Street that cuts across it.Do you mean right there or do I need to go across the bridge crossing what used to look like a moat?

Hi Fincho, wish I could give you precise directions ,but I have only done it by driving there. The old hospital site is on Leoforos Nechrou road, have a feeling that from Ledra Palace you cross roundabout to Leforos Mouseiou then turn right. When you get to entry gate for old hospital go in and turn left, about 100 yards? building on your right (outpatients) When you have entered building go about 3 yards and turn right, inoculation clinic is on the right hand side (I think it's about room no 13? but it is sign posted . Health visitor who will do your jab is called Houvartas Polivios (0357 22801609) very nice guy speaks pretty good English. Cost of vaccine and certificate just under 30 euros. I'm due to go next month but went to check out all about YF vaccination as I'm going to Uganda in June.

Walking.
Go to the end of Ledra st, cross the moat and then cross the road & turn right. Walk till against the trafic till you come to trafic lights the trafic comes round the moat from the right, you walk stright on to the next lights the old hospital is on your left.
I hope this makes some sence and you find the hospital. If you ask you will be able to find it ok. It is about a 15 min walk.
