I think the political classes here, should take note of what the Turkish foreign minister has stated following the recent elections. At the moment I suspect there is a lot of hand wringing going on. To me it's looking like another 40 years or so. I'm sure all your old timers will put me in my place.

The Turkish FM has 'suggested' that the TRNC might move to more of an Executive Presidential system as in Turkey or France.
This concentrates a lot of power in the hands of one person, a bit of a mixed blessing if you ask me!
