RE: Residency blood Tests Problem!
okay,

Update, and I have to word this carefully as everything is confidential! Case No 1 has now got to go pay 400tl for test to go to Turkey.

For peace of mind i suggested they go to a lab! (I have never been to this lab so have no connections with it YET) Today the person went guess what negative result!

Case No 2 has waited after paying 400tl 5 weeks! Recall to hospital we need another blood test! Suggested this person go to lab same as case1 tonight once again negative result.

What I now need is more people to e-mail me in confidence (it will be totally confidential) and we need to fight this, the stress is going to kill someone all because the state hospital is making mistakes somewhere, whether their machine need calibrated or it is human error, I really don't know!

Please help me to help you if you or friend or relative in this situation please contact me on 0533 884 5621 or e-mail trnchealthcare@gmail.com

if you are in this position or know someone who is please ask them to contact me in confidence at trnchealthcare@gmail.com or phone me on 0533 884 5621

Thanks
Chris

thanks for that Chris. I am not due until January anyway, but it must be a real headache for some folk,. Hope you manage to get responses to build up a dossier to take to the authorities. Wish I could suggest a path to go down, but getting hold of the \Minister of health is a very difficult thing to do!

Hi Nurseawful, welcome to the forum. I don,t think you need to apologise, and I am sure Soner won,t mind. This is a matter that needs to be urgently addressed.

Having a TC kimlik, this is something that does not personally affect me but if there is anything at all that I can do to help, please let me know.
Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

RESIDENCY BLOOD TESTS PROBLEM!
If anyone has recently had a blood test at Girne or elsewhere for their residency and been referred to Lefkosa State hospital for another test, due to being told they have HIV or Hepatitis, or been sent to the Health Ministry can they get in touch with me please in the strictest of confidence.

I have just spoken to a lovely lady who e-mailed me and has been told 'problem' HIV. This is not a young lady and she has been married many years and is now understandably very upset. Also she now has the wait for results of another blood test and trip to the Health Ministry!

This is not the first case I have heard of but it needs to stop NOW before someone has a heart attack and dies due to the stress.

Please contact me on trnchealthcare@gmail.com again I stress this will be in confidence.

Chris

RE: Residency blood Tests Problem!
Suggest they also contact B.R.S who are trying to sort out a few things with the government - such as tests counting for residency, and I believe they have heard of a few cases similar to this. So, Nurse Awful chat to someone there and they MIGHT share with yu. I reckon there is some faulty machinery somewhere, or someone who is not sufficiency on the ball, or maybe even unwell when doing the tests. Whatever it is, I agree with you, it MUST be dealt with. And I am sure it can. But collecting all the info is a good idea.

Chris, Please explain the terminology of a, 'Positive-negative' and a 'Negative-positive' in relation to whatever tests that are taken and their results? An enigma to me!

Not sure I am able to explain it clearly but here goes!

A false positive (blood) suggests the presence of a disease, which turns out apparently not to be there. If more advanced tests are done say over a period of 24hours then it can come up negative. Sometimes with further investigation (but not always) another disease is found which would explain the original result. Maybe if the way they performed the test and the equipment was more up to date who knows!!!!

Hope this helps a bit Brinsley to explain.

Chris

Hope this helps explain it Brinsley!

RE: Residency blood Tests Problem!
Chris, Thanks. Nothing to do with your competence, but why have a blood test at all if the results could be ad-hoc as picking the correct lottery numbers?!

RE: Residency blood Tests Problem!
You know I hear all these problems that folk are having when doing residency and blood tests. To be honest when doing my business permit I had none of these problems, Went to hospital to be sent to Lab for blood test, went to new Lab next to Bella pai traffic lights, went to hospital 4 days later and got results, it could not of been easier, is it luck of the draw maybe !

David the problem is not when the blood is taken at the private labs but at Girne Hospital itself. It could be something simple like the equipment used in the blood testing is needing calibrated. The clinic next to Bellapais lights is excellent, all their equipment is state of the art.

Bringing this back to the top so it does not get missed. Hopefully no one else is going through this.
