Re: Obtaining electric meter
Have not done this recently but if your house previously had a meter that has been removed just go to Kibtek with your address & any details you have about whose name it might have been in. If the property has never had a meter you will need professional electrical drawings showing all power points, light fittings etc etc this has to be approved by Kibtek before they will fit a meter. If you do not have these drawings you need to speak to your builder/architect or the person you bought from.

Re: Obtaining electric meter
In our case (Sep 2015), our apartment had no meter although the three others in the block were fitted (the apartments had actually been built three/four years earlier, but ours had not been occupied) . We were not asked for drawings, but after visiting the Kibtek office, an official came to (cursorily) check the system - but failing to spot a non-connection in a light socket! A meter was soon fitted afterward. A deposit of 1400 tl was required which is refundable if/when you sell to another, so keep the receipt safe.

Yes of course Jofra Kibtek would have had the plans for your block as there were already 3 meters fitted however yes and no does not give any details of their particular circumstances so it is difficult to give them specific advice.

Re: Obtaining electric meter
The property I’ve bought has never had a meter, but others on the site have so I suppose kibtec will already have drawings of the sockets etc, from a similar house. So I’ll probably need the address and number of the house. Will I need the kocan As well ?

Re: Obtaining electric meter
We took number and address (obviously so they would know where to fit the meter ); we also took copies of the sales contract (can't remember whether they looked at them), but not the Kocan - we didn't get that until eighteen months later (very quick!). Best to take whatever you've got and not need it, rather than have to make repeat trips...

Again, can't remember exactly , but after the initial visit to Kibtek office, a couple of days to the inspection visit, and then a few more to fitting of the meter - definitely less than two weeks overall!
