Pegasus seat selection
Does anyone know if Pegasus are still pre-allocating seating unless you've paid for aisle or window?
Used to be able to ask for aisle or window when checking in at the airport, haven't been able to do this for some time.
Is this still their policy?
Thanks in advance

My wife flew out from Stanstead last night. She had been pre allocated a middle seat but was able to change to a window seat without extra charge for both flights to a window seat at check in.

I'll ask at the desk at both Ercan and Stansted but not expecting a result as obviously my lack of charm did for me in November and December.

Flew out of Stansted Saturday, hadn't prebooked a seat but when checking in was asked if I had a seat preference. Requested a window seat and was given one for both flights.

Maybe they have relented somewhat - staff at Stansted advised in November it was going to happen and they couldn't change once allocated......And if you do manage to check in online ( aren't able from Stansted to Istanbul still!) the seats are automatically allocated then too and cannot be changed online.

Just tried to check in on-line from Stansted to Izmir, computer said No! althought it did allow me to check in on-line for the Izmir to Ercan leg of the journey and produced our boarding passes.Mr Mac wrote:Maybe they have relented somewhat - staff at Stansted advised in November it was going to happen and they couldn't change once allocated......And if you do manage to check in online ( aren't able from Stansted to Istanbul still!) the seats are automatically allocated then too and cannot be changed online.

Re: Pegasus seat selection
Came in last night from Stansted via Pegasus and asked for window seats on both legs of the journey when checking in and got them plus the flight was not full (though pretty full) as I had 3 seats to myself for most of the journey

Came in last night from Stansted; asked for window seats, no chance though to be fair the plane was pretty full.
Spoke to both my window seat occupants and both had been allocated their seats.
I've done 12 flights in the last three months and not once got a window, starting to get paranoid.

Why do it, try Blue Air, Jet 2, Cobalt, especially business class ,from Larnaca, never a problem, seat where you want, Blue Air no charge, also, free meal and soft drinks 4 hrs 15 mins, non stop ! Can't do 9 hours with Pegasus anymore, just saying.

Re: Pegasus seat selection
Stansted-Istanbul 3hrs 10mins, 1hr 20mins on the ground incl transfer. 1hr 5mins Istanbul-Ercan. 40mins to Karsiyaka.
So time wise not a great deal of difference between using Ercan or Larnaca.
Ultimately it comes down to price and convenience and Pegasus have three Stansted flights per day with four in the summer, plus of course Atlasglobal has one.
