Morning
Due to a change of plans I now am travelling from Ercan to Istanbul with Atlas and then continuing a few hours later with Turkish to the UK - have only ever done the journey with one airline. Does anyone know if the two airlines have a transfer agreement and I will be able to check my luggage in at Ercan for the entire journey or will I have to collect at Istanbul and recheck in?
Thanks

Your best bet is to contact Atlas. However, I suspect that you will have to collect your bags and check in again. This also means that you will have to purchase a visa, see https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/

Agree unlikely to have a transfer agreement. Do double check they are both using the same airport!

Re: Transferring at Istanbul to different airline
Hi,
I have done this in the past, the last time was about 6 months ago and they didn't have any agreement.
You do have to collect your luggage and re-check it in in Istanbul. As come_on_aylin has mentioned you will need to have a valid visa to be able to do this. Very easy to do online.
So long as you have a couple of hours connection time you shouldn't have any problems, because you will more than likely have to queue to get through passport control and then again to get back into departures to clear security.

Thanks everyone - as I expected - looks like I’ll have to try and stick to hand luggage!
