Post services and missing mail

Further to a post I put on some time ago - having written to Fuat Namsoy., Pres. Akinci (tongue in cheek), and also the head of Post in Lefkosa. This last did reply and admitted that there are sacks of unsorted mail in Girne PO and no staff to do it!! He was referring to our Christmas mail which I mentioned in particular but did not reply to the comment that some sorting must goes on, as obvious business mail does get sorted. I very much doubt that these sacks are still there - surely they would have ditched them by now - anyway, I have asked this as well.

Ha ha! See my very long thread of 64 answers in a post I posted in 2013!!! BRS were supposed to do something about it. Now simplified things... took out a postal box on south side and now receive ALL my mail including Christmas post. Plus ALL my mail reaches destinations. No more

Yes, Heaven, I know there have been a lot of posts re this. but thought it worth a try to get some sort of reasonable answers - really just hoping to jog somebody's conscience including the BRS.

As we all know every civil office is overstaffed a factor of 4.... perhaps he should have admitted 'there are no staff willing to do it'...

Anyway you look at it - it is a disgrace.

I love all your comments, some so funny! Does anyone agree with me that in a civilised society this attitude re our mail is tantamount to THEFT?

I think that THEFT implies the intent 'to permanently deprive the rightful owner of the use and enjoyment of the item' - I'm sure that they would claim that they do intend to deliver the items.....someday...
