Allopurinol
Is anyone returning to UK in the next few days and able to bring back a packet of allopurinol. It is a medication for dogs with leishmania & is about 12cms x 4 cms.
Thank you
Thank you

Re: Allopurinol
You can buy Allopurinol in the chemists here, used for gout and uric acid problems in humans, I assume it's the same thing?

We have a rescued dog with Leish and he is on two Allipurinol and two Zyrtec each day. Both are freely and cheaply available in any pharmacy, without prescription.

Re: Allopurinol
Tbh I have not tried to buy in UK (it is not for me) but have brought it back, just had a quick look online & some chemists need a private prescription. Those that have bought in UK could you please say which chemists & how much. Last time I brought some over it was 5tl for 28 pack & a quick look it is dearer in UK. As Keith says 6tl now so quite cheap still.

I'm on allopurinol and it is only available in the UK with a perscription but as in previous replies it is readily available in the TRNC,

Papabravo & Sammydavis, I'm beginning to think you are in NC, where I know it is cheap & available & that is why I am hoping someone can bring a pack over for a rescue dog in UK with leishmania......
I will be over in May & will bring some back but it is needed before then.....
