Try this one:
1 1/2 lb flour
8 oz porrige oats
3 beef/chicken stock cubes
2 beaten eggs - one's enough actually, just add more stock
1 lb mince - use whatever you fancy - ox heart or kidney or chicken livers
are cheap (about 3 1/2 TL)
1 cup stock - made by simmering whichever meat you use before mincing
Mix it all together into a dough. It should be dry enough to handle without sticking to your hands
Hand roll/flatten into biscuits/patties to whatever size you wish
Place on a sheet of oiled greaseproof paper
If feeling posh, glaze with milk!!!!
1 hr at 180 deg C
Makes about 30 biscuits

Re: Dog Biscuit Recipe Please!
Speaking to a friend yesterday and we were comparing the relative costs of dog friendly "treats" and she told me about this one, which I'm determined to try.
1. Buy a packet of pitta bread (the sort that are pre cut in half)
2. Split them in half and then put them into the oven when you have been cooking something which needed a hot oven (but after you have switched the oven off) Leave in the the oven until oven is cold and then remove pitta bread. Break into whatever size you think you dog requires and you have a really hard crispy dog biscuit/treat.
3. A 3.45 pack of pitta bread makes dozens of "biscuits"

Hi Carboot, are you at Chateau Lambousa? Last time I was there I looked everywhere and could not find anyone selling them? Might have to look harder if you are?
Genghis / Sophie thank you very much! Will definitely try both of these!
