Our fridge/freezer broke last night, 11years old so really cannot complain. So today we went hunting for a new one, as it was in a housing had to be no more that 180cm high, nowadays, they are a lot taller. Last stop was Beko in Girne, saw just the one right size, but they said they could not deliver until Monday, dilemma lack of freezer ok but not fridge. The lady that spoke perfect English made a call and low and behold, 2 hours later new one fitted, old one taken away and all the staff we dealt with were excellent, so do not hesitate to use them for electrical goods.

Cannot fault them myself. Always use the main shop in Girne I think part of Levent trading. First class service.
Some are wise and some otherwise.....

My only question.... which ravine is now the proud owner of the old one?

This a bit tongue in cheek but I feel we have a duty to ask for safe disposal.

I asked this very question of a company we always deal with. Behind their store was a huge pile of fridges, freezers, air cons etc., etc. She said that the best were taken to Lefkosa, revamped a bit and sold to second hand shops in the poorer parts of the city. The rubbish stuff was collected a couple of times a year by head office and then sent on to be demolished and melted down (her description, not mine) in Turkey. Hope she was right!!
