Three foreign students who took a photographs of Maraş last week were arrested and appeared in court today charged with trespass and taking photographs without permission in a forbidden military zone.
The three university students, two from Latvia and one from Poland were tried today in a military court and sentenced to seven days imprisonment. However, since they have been held in custody since 20 April, they will be released on 27 April and deported.
The students are reported to be studying at a university in South Cyprus.

On this side here are signs forbidding cameras, however last time I was there, they had 30+ years of rust all over and hanging lopsided. What signs they have "on the other side" I have no idea.

Crikey, the signs we saw down by the sea and close to the Palm Beach Hotel (?) were nothing like as smart or legible as those pictures. Perhaps they have been replaced.
