Water Charge - Girne Belediyesi

The water meter man has just been to read the (old style) meter and left me the paper bill.
It seems as though the price per ton has increased from TL8.67 (TL26.00 for three tons) to TL12 per ton (TL36.00 for three tons).
That’s a 50% increase near as makes no difference.
Have I missed something (other than a plummeting TL which shouldn’t make that much of a difference to local/Turkish water surely)?

I don't have a confirmed answer to this Mowgli, but I suspect that maybe the charges have gone back to a flat rate for up to (maybe) 10 tonnes as it used to be, for areas not connected to the Turkish pipeline supply. Bills for 4 houses on one site in Zeytinlik this week - 0 - 36tl, 1- 36tl, 3 - 36tl, 7 - 36tl. Personally do hope this is the right answer, will allow me to be a little more generous with water for my precious garden. 36tl is higher than the old 10 tonne rate but much better than the 5.5tl per tonne on last months bill.
