cacao
went to the new Cacao place for lunch, The icecream, chocolates and cakes looked really fab. As we were hungry we opted for the pasta dish each, what a mistake. we wondered why most people were just having pizza or icecream. Very nicely set up , but was disapointed with meal, no taste whatsoever.

Re: cacao
We land family oved the ice cream etc (except husband - they did not have rum and raisin) but a friend told me yesterday she bought a lemon drizzle cake there a week or so ago and when she got it home and tried to cut it, it was solid - thinks it must have been in the display case for weeks - it was inedible, not even the dog would touch it and much too stale to even use for a trifle bottom! Binned - what a waste - I said she should have taken it back, but they decided it wasnt worth the hassle of going back into town at tea time!

Never tried Cacao. Normally go to Mardo`s Catalkoy for an ice cream treat. Never been disappointed there plus they serve Illy coffee. Can`t go wrong with that.

I have noticed that people will come on forums and complain about various things but never complain to the people concerned.
If you don't tell the waiter, manager or whoever at the time and show the 'evidence' then you cannot expect things to change.

If they are good business people they will welcome and encourage complaints/comments. Years ago when working at Abbey National we were told 'If people don't complain to you then they will complain to all their friends which will have a negative affect on the business as you are not given the opportunity to put things right - a business that has no complaints is not a good business' Saying that though the business has to embrace the comments!
