The Death of a dear friend

It is with great sadness that I must let you know of the death on Wednesday of Arif Berhas of The Tervetuloa Hotel. He was a lovely man and dear friend and will be greatly missed.Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family at this very sad time.RIP Arif

Sad news indeed.

He was looking well when we last visited the restaurant a month ago, so at least I hope he didn't suffer too much.

So sad to hear this news. We have known Arif and his family for many years and he will so missed, I too hope he did not suffer, RIP

Very sad news, he looked so well when were there 2 weeks ago, our sympathy to his family, he will certainly be missed by everyone who new him!

what sad, sad news. we were there last Friday and hadn't been for ages, and as usual were greeted by Arif like close family and friends. wonderful man. Terrible shame.
was that his funeral yesterday I wonder. Hundreds of cars parked down the bottom of our hill by the cemetary at alsancak.

He will be so missed. Terrible loss. What was it - a heart attack, or something else?

Goodness me, we drove past all those cars (police in attendance) and wondered which "very important person" must have died? Well, now we know, and he was indeed a lovely person who treated everyone like family and made them so welcome. A very important person indeed as he had no badness in him.

I am very sorry for his family at this sad time and hope he passed peacefully. God rest his soul.

Yes, as you say Arif always welcomed you like family. What a lovely man he was .

I've only just seen this, what a shock, Sally and I were at the restaurant a little while ago and he was his usual happy self. Our condolences go to Afet and the rest of his family.

I didn't know him, but from what other members are saying it sounds like he was a good man.
