A BRS representative visited Immigration yesterday to follow up several complaints about misinformation onthe website, that had been received this week. It was confirmed that they now also want a bank statement/s along with letter, pink book, p/port and copy of page in passport with stamp on it, money etc. A kocan or contract is only needed if ones address has changed since the last visit/stamp.
Permanent residency was also discussed - and another posting has given most of the details already, but confirmation was given that (at the moment) an Xray and blood test will also be needed.

Can any one tell me if you can go a day earlier to renew your residency
I have been told so many different stories
Don't want to go all the way to Lefkosa
And then be told i have to go on the DAY it runs out

Normally you can apply two weeks before expiry.

I renewed my 'over-60s' on the 14th of this month whereas the old one expired on the 16th - so 2 days before although the 15th was a holiday.
