After the road going into Arapköy was widened, a post supporting overhead power cables was left as can be seen below ... and what's worse on the inside of the bend.
However, I'm sure the traffic cones there will help ...

There are some power poles like this at the side of the road (in parking places?) going down to the Colony Hotel aren't there?

Don't worry, they DO remove them eventually. We had them all the way up the road from Golden Lady to roundabout (past Acmenya) in Alsancak for abaout a year after they sorted out the footpath - but one day, there they were - gone!!

There was a side road in Karakum with a telegraph pole in the middle of the road.

I know the one you mean about a Karakum side road, that one really is frightening when you see it for the first time. These poles don't always disappear after a year. There are at least two in Alsancak village which have been there for years and the wire supports are worse.
