Help with printing texts from Android phone

Good morning we need to print out text messages from an entry level Samsung I cannot seem to follow the instructions on the internet they are very complicated. I have downloaded an Android App but it does not recognise the phone & I have tried to do a 'USB debug' without success.
Is there anywhere I can take it for them to do it for me please?

Magic Touch would be my first thought.

Another way around it would be to copy and paste the text message into an email, and send it 'to yourself' - then you could open the email on your computer and print it out

To copy the contents of a text message, open the text so that you can read it, and then hold your finger on the text for more than one second - a menu will pop up and one of the options will be to copy the text. When you go to compose an email, hold your finger in the area where you want the text to go, and press the 'paste' option.

Otherwise, ask next door's grandkids to do it

Thanks Keith I tried Magic Touch when I wanted to download photos from my phone but they said they 'were not allowed to' & suggested I go to a DVD shop.
Thanks for the other suggestions it is a bit late in the day for me to try to understand them now but in the meantime I have photographed them with my ipad - it will take a lot of ink to print them out!
