As we import far more than we export it's in their interests to sort it out then.
China trades with the EU including the UK. Goods are transported via sea and air freight.
It is "local" trade with our nearest partners that will become more difficult because of potential border delays that put UK suppliers on back foot to win work

Waz
Did you ever hear about the Schengen agreement? If not, maybe because the UK is a “cooperating partner” only.
Once you entered the “Schengen area”, you can travel free, without passport control.
The RoC , btw, is also not member of the Schengen agreement, but has the status of a “future member”, which is closer to “full member” as “cooperating”.
Interesting only is, as it is the UK who wants to leave the EU, what the UK will do post April 2019 , incl reg EU citizens entering the UK. Bona vide for 90 days? 30 days? Visa from day 1? Hunting them after these given days, incl. jail and deportation?
Not the RoC puts UK citizens on a certain “visa requirement- list of countries” , the UK basically can “choose” on which list they would like to be and how they would like to be” treated/punished “ (by the GCs) after 4/19.

The new Ercan airport was being built, we did not know that and were shocked to arrive in what was like a giant shed full of soldiers LOL
That was many years ago
