Best value internet service
Just paid a friends monthly payment at Multimax and it had gone from 150TL to 206TL, obviously this is largely due to the economic situation with the Lira.
My friend wasn't too happy though and asked me to check out the prices with other providers, OK that's his prerogative but as far as I'm concerned quality of service counts for a lot. (I'm with MM and have been for a long time)
With that in mind how do the other service providers stack up with MM?
Thanks
TML

There is only one thing to say: Stick with the you know. With that in mind how do the other service providers stack up with MM?
One thing I need to add: When I first went with MM I paid for the Gold package. After doing thorough testing, I now have the cheapest package because the speeds quoted are dubious to say the least. There is very little difference, if any between the 20mb and 5mb service.

I would agree, never jump until you are pushed, in my experience.

or unless it is that much cheaper, we are with kibrisonline due to the fact we have a landline and can not moan at their yearly price or service for the price we pay

It depends how you quantify value. Does that mean the cheapest? The most reliable? Or maybe the customer service should anything go wrong? All of these are important factors and should be considered but of course most people go on price alone.

The deciding factor in my case, regarding which MM package to use, was the fact that 'we' watch a lot of TV, and once fell foul of the bandwidth restrictions at peak hours, resulting in complaints - directed at me!
I think that you may only see a significant difference in max speeds during quieter periods, when there is plenty of unused bandwidth available, otherwise you'll probably just get your 'fair share' of available bandwidth, with a minimum of 4 Mbps (excluding 'fault' situations & occasions when you exceed the 'fair use' policy limits).
I have found the best solution for 'TV - on demand' is to select the lowest possible quality - to the average viewer it looks fine
If I do want HD Quality, then I download during quiet periods, and view later.
Everyone's situation and requirements are different, of course, so that won't suit everyone!

Ours went up from 999tl to 2063tl but if you work it back it is a £20 increase ok for us but no good to those paid in tl

There are cheaper/better alternatives that you won't see 'advertised' on this forum. Just Google "North Cyprus Internet" and you will find many different options to paying for a service that you 'may' deem unacceptable/expensive

I have seen one of his installations, and was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. No idea of cost though!SatelliteCyprus wrote:There are cheaper/better alternatives that you won't see 'advertised' on this forum. we use satellite Cyprus, well pleased with service. as with many providers sometimes things go wrong but with these guys they react positively in that situation. been with them for a few years and would not change to another provider.
