Honda Fit ignition help!

We recently bought a Honda Fit. Great car but it's keyless ignition, no problem. BUT we have a spare key question, there is a lock on the drivers door great we can get in the car, but how do you start the engine? It appears to just be a normal key ie. There is no clever battery in it its just literally a key. Can't see any way to start the engine with it there is no obvious place on the steering wheel! Help kibkomers

Can't quite understand what you meam. I have a Nissan Setena. This is also keyless but in ghe transponder unit is a small lever. If you push that a complete key comes out which can be used either unlock the door locks or the ignition lock to start the car. Hope that helps
As I got older I congratulated myself on my tolerance..... Now I realise I just don't give a "ooops"

Ok, we have two keys, one is the clever one that just needs to be with me to lock and u lock and start the car, in my bag or pocket no problem. The other key is just a normal key that can unlock the car in the keyhole in the door. But to start it there doesn't appear to be any way to do it. I have tried holding the key near the nob that you twist while pressing the brake down, nothing happens. Thought maybe someone out there had the same model. We need to leave the spare key with a friend to start the car while we are away. But appreciate the replies so far x

Have you thought of asking the car dealer?

Key hole to slot it in to start the car. Beginning to feel like a headless chicken. Guess we go to Honda in Lefkosia.

I had a Honda Fit about 10 years ago and the key fob battery died.

I also had a spare key like you and couldn't find how to put it in the key ignition.

I'm not sure if it is the same problem you are having but I found it eventually after discovering the key ignition had a cover on it
hence I couldn't initially see where to put the key in.

Could it be the same problem?
