Had our MOT done today

Paid our 146tl in the usual office then over to the MOT centre to have the check. Just on the off chance we had the "new" registration plates fitted yesterday. The bloke doing the paperwork said that next time we went his job would be online. Not sure how this will work but we have time to figure it out and for the Government to chance their minds a few times. No surprise there then

Got yours cheap then Sophie!, 3 weeks ago I paid 186TL. Had new plates on but had to go and get my engine number cleaned up. went back with visible number and that was all he checked. Can't see how they could put any part of it online other than giving him a computer rather than him handwriting it all.

Sukicat, it was something to do with applying on line when the appropriate 2 week window came up for your particular registration number. Maybe we'll have to pay on line as well. Then print it all off and take down to the MOT centre. The only way I can see it happening. Any way, there are years to go now, and I'm sure it will all be dropped and altered a few times yet. The car before us had to show that his break lights, left and right indicators and head lights worked and he was a local!! We had nothing like that, just a comment that we should get mud flaps fitted soon, but we past OK.

You're quite correct, I misread the invoice, the cost was 186tl. Don't worry, we didn't receive an indirim!
