Re: Deposit for electricity account ?
When we did it it cost approx £400, I can't remember the exact figure but I remember arguing the amount and was told it was because of all the expats leaving with out paying their final bill. That was 5 years ago. I was told it was refundable if Lekky went into someone else's name, yea right, never got a penny back.

Re: Deposit for electricity account ?
When we bought a resale in 2006, the house was on "builders electric" ..
Some 2½ years later we managed to get "normal electric" ..
Bearing in mind there was a bona fide Kibtec electric meter fitted ..
Before Kibtec came to the house the cost was £550 to an electrician to check the out electrics ..
The amount paid to Kibtec to change the name on the bill & the deposit for the meter was ..
£1170 a grand total of £1720 .. Yes pounds not TL ..

Re: Deposit for electricity account ?
Sounds like it's a job not to do, no one will care whose name is on the bill as long as it is paid
Every month I go to Kibtec and pay several Electrical bills they don't care who I am or whose bill I am paying as long as the money is right. When they read the meter they leave the bills in the meter box so it's the address that's important not the name on it.
When mine was connected I paid 176TL connection and 176TL deposit (still got the reciepts to prove it)
