Is there any site other than TV ChaosUK 4 downloading UK tv?

When UK Nova stopped listing UK TV programms to record the site recommended to replace it was TV Chaos UK but the problem with this site is that it keeps telling me that my seeding ratio is not high enough and I have just over 3 weeks to improve it. I keep telling them that when I turn my computer on Utorrent starts seeding.................

I don`t see why i should have my computer on 24/7 just to meet their seeding ratios.

What sites do members use other than I player.............

If you don't like the ChaosUK ratio rules then you will not be happy with TheBox either.

But to be fair I think thay are right - if everybody downloads more than they upload then the torrenting system will stop. You only get data because another user provides it and it is only fair that you should upload an equivalent amount of data to others.
Unfortunately, ISPs usually limit upload speeds to 50% of download speeds so logically it can take twice as long to upload the same amount of data that you download.
But it would certainly be worth your while to check the upload speed limit you have set in Utorrent - just 'right click' on the U: at the very bottom right hand side of the screen. Most users make little use of upload (other than torrenting) so setting it equivalent to 80 or 90% of your ISP limit is unlikely to have any noticeable effect on whatever else you do - and you can always change it for 5 minutes if you need upload capacity for something else (like sending emails with large files attached). Another good idea is to immediately 'stop' torrents that you get from other sites (once the download is finished of course) so that all your uploading is dedicated to improving your ratio.

Thanks guys. Couldn`t get into the box link anyway. have tried to increase upload rate....will see how it goes.

Films seem to upload ok but for some reason tv is slow.

Oh well if they ban my a/c so be it.

loose boots just leave it uploading for 48 hours with chaos it actually doesn't upload and they then won't ban you

Hi you might be having trouble because you are using a banned version of Utorrent.
You may need to do get rid of this and download an earlier version. TV chaos is actually very good as in order to acheive ratio you only have to be available for uploading as opposed to actually uploading.
Try this link for downloading an earlier version, its not always easy as they always want to give you the latest version, or try one of the other clients listed below.

May I use any bittorrent client?

Not all no. BitComet and Bitlord are banned on the tracker as they fail to respect the sites private flag in DHT.

The system has a 'whitelist' of allowed clients. Clients that have not been entered on this list will not work on this site.

The only trouble I have is when I go away and cannot switch my computer on for a few days, then I end up with warnings, so I have to stop downloading stuff a few days in advance. I tried parking the account, but this has no effect as once you have downloaded a programme, they expect you to make it available for 48 hours of computer "on" time.
