how to open picture saved in 'publisher' I hhaven't got that

My son sent me a picture he created in publisher. I haven't got publisher anymore. Any advice on how I can open it without downloading publisher? I have indesign and photoshhop, powerpoint

You 'should' be able to open it in one of them. Right click on the file and select 'Open with' and then pick one of your programmes to open it. Should work.

... or ask your son to export (save) the file to a format you can open, eg pdf, and send again to you in the acceptable format.
