We are about to complete on a property in Kucuk Erenkoy and was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the storms have effected the area? We don’t want to be paying for an expensive pile of bricks.
Hope everyone keeps safe during the adverse weather.
Advice please

Re: Advice please
We live on the western border of KE. The recent storms have caused our perimeter wall to collapse due to the amount of rain on the garden and the builder's failure to include wall drainage. Now the case is with the insurer's, but please check your walls have drainage included. Also, be aware that KE has many more building plots planned - it will soon look like Girne!!

Also very important to find out whether or not been built on or Near riverbed. Many of the problems over the last few days have been due to properties being built on riverbeds. Talking about it on all the tv channels tonight, too late been going on for years..

Re: Advice please
Its storms such as we have been having which reveal all the illegal, shortcuts, greed of developers and back handers taken by politicians. Plus the refusal of many insurance companies to pay out and the lack of knowledge and expertise of designers and constructers of sub-structures in road building. Yesterday we travelled along the Lapta - Girne road and witnessed 5 cases of dozens of workmen desperately trying to open up unmaintained and blocked culverts to divert excess water. Nothing can stop nature. but sadly they don't help themselves either.
