No Water in Dogankoy

Off again, off three weeks ago for a week. Phoned the Belediye 4 times, cut off when they answer the phone as per usual! Just been in to Muhtars office. It will be off till next Wednesday? "problem with pipes" again!
They can pump water 60+km from Turkey, yet they cant't pump and distribute it here for a couple of km's from the local pumping station. PPM, Planned Preventative Maintenance in the TRNC,? you must be joking. PPM here means Please Pay More

Perhaps its a case of your water being contaminated i.e. broken pipe in your area and it resembling sludge? With weather we have had, nothing would surprise.

it could be due to the fact they are searching that area in relation to a missing body perhaps? i know they are trying to pump away water from the river and flooded areas.

No water in Dipkarpaz for several days now. I was told it has to do with Turkish water - or the lack of it. Or what???

It's all very wet and it will take a long time to do all the clearing up and rebuilding here too, but at least we have no fatalities

Alsancak Belediyesi has put a message on FB .to say the water will start again tomorrow.

Dipkarpaz water is back, YIPPEEE!!!!
And the sun is back, well....sort of....and our garden does not look like a lake anymore, so I would not step into it just yet, it looks very squelchy still, the cats have found a safe place

a nice surprise was finding 'proper' mushrooms - never had them in our garden, these were in the remains of some earth we had delivered last year
