Blankets for flood victim

Hi, I know this isn’t in the wanted section but I am hoping it will be allowed to stay on here as it needs urgent attention please.
The caretaker where my daughter rents a property has been affected by the flooding last week and his home is not liveable at the moment. He is sleeping in a room next to the swimming pool with no bed or bedding etc.
If any readers have any spare blankets or a bed or anything to keep him warm it would be greatly appreciated.
Please pm me if you can help. Thanks

I don’t know if this may be of help to the gentleman. The Evkaf Foundation and the North Cyprus Red Crescent are supposedly offering help to flood victims. I’m sorry I don’t know contact details for Evkaf.

For the benefit of others who can make donations of bedding household goods etc., I am told there is a collection point where they can be taken in the Government offices by the Girne Post Office.

There are probably many people, like us, who would gladly offer help but can you please stop being so vague and tell us where this help is needed.

I would rather not donate blankets, duvets and household goods to a Government Office!! I would like to know that whatever I donate goes to the actual people concerned. When I know this then I will donate!

Zeytin Ağacı Eğitim ve Yardımlaşma Derneği - we are collecting for this charity, you can find them on Facebook if you`re on there, they pick up from the butchers if anyone would like to drop anything in. They`ll take anything, dry goods, bedding, towels, clothes, nappies, kitchen goods, anything that can be used. They have left some leaflets in the butchers showing how they help.

Hi, I would like to say thank you to the people who have helped out with bedding for this gentleman, the reason I had not put where he was is because he is quite a proud man and was reluctant to accept any help at first so I didn’t want to embarrass him by naming where he was. We went out and bought some blankets and a lovely lady in China Bazaar bought him one as well. Also we collected from the Ozankoy butcher yesterday, so he should be nice and warm for now. Thanks everyone

Southern Belle thank you for raising the awareness of this charity I wasn’t aware of it before ...
