Thanks, Z, hope to be there on FRi. I was sorry to hear, though, that there wont be those delicious pies!

PS any bulbs? (I mean like daffs etc, not light!) - never mind I will find out.

I read in Cyprus Today last week that Pamela Schofield had announced that the market was now closed. She also advised the Cyprus Star office, and I know she was sad to ahve to make that decision. I, and many others, also thought that it was definitely finished, so maybe that is why there is little response to you about keeping it going. I know it has always been a warm and friendly place, but for stall holders unless there are customers, it is of little avail, and I got the feeling that most stall holders had gone to the new Bamboo beach market if they were not involved with the Pine Bay Boot sale. it has certainly got me confused.

also I am a bit confused. I assume you are referring to the NCCCT Christmas Fair on Saturday, or is there going to be a regular market there every Saturday, and does it mean that Lamboussa is going to be challenged.

it might be helpful for someone to post where all the regulars from Friday at Carpenters could now be found, as I know some of them had products that were very much wanted. Pity about the pies, but I alsoheard that ken had given up. Is that true?

Actually I dıd go on the Friday in question - it must have been about ll.30 or a bit after as I had somewhere else to go first - and most of the stalls had packed up or were in the process of packing up (and the ones I had wanted to visit at that!). Sorry I know it was a miserable day and threatening rain, but it was disappointing and didnt encourage me to make the journey again.

A great pity because it used to be very good, friendly and well attended, and although out of my normal range it was convenient for parking etc.
