Hi. Does anyone know how to remove this round fitting (i'm sure it is a screw) from a B&D chain saw. Can't seem to move it. Tried to turn it backwards and forwards, don't want to force it too hard and break it as it is made of plastic.

The orange centre part unscrews in the normal (anticlockwise) direction. It should only be hand tight, but you may need strong fingers to grip the centre - if not try some kind of tool, maybe an oversized spanner which you could turn with a lever.
Once it is loosened a little, the outer black ring can be turned in either direction, to tighten or loosen the chain. Once set at the right tension, leave the black ring at that position and retighten the orange centre. It is a good and very simple chain adjustment system.
If you want to completely remove the chain bar and chain, loosen the chain a little, as above, then just keep on unscrewing the orange part until it comes off complete with the black ring.

If you plan to use it make sure you have a chain saw licence. One is required even if you only use it on your own land. Not expensive TL30 per year.

Best to check. Building is on the way into Girne, LHS opposite the hospital.
We were told by our Cypriot neighbour that a licence was needed. Ours is petrol but he didn't specify a difference.

There is an obvious difference between electric (which requires a local power source) and petrol (which can be used anywhere).

True but sometimes the obvious is ignored here!
