Sandwich Maker?
Posted this on "Items wanted" but little viewing - please leave this open for a week Mod's.
Trying to find one of the above! Not the ones that are just a flat tray that you can also use for grilling etc. The ones you used to have lurking at the back of the cupboard with the individual three cornered and removable trays in them that when you made a sandwich it actually sealed up the edges!!!
Have searched everywhere East and most places South but just wonder if anyone has seen one recently please???

Re: Sandwich Maker?
One of the 10 most unused Christmas presents. . Others are ice cream makers, waffle makers, bread makers. yoghurt makers etc, etc. (I'm guilty of giving 6 of the ten away over the years!!)

Re: Sandwich Maker?
sophie, OK guilty as charged! However, I have a friend and we have known each other since 1966, he has been widowed for the past 12 years and is a colon cancer survivor - complete with a bag for life - and a lung cancer survivor, so far. Every year he comes out to visit with us and this year he happened to mention that he loves "Toasties", so as we will do absolutely anything for this guy to make his stays with us different and enjoyable I now seek a toastie maker to give him that little extra surprise! I have no doubt that it will only get used a couple of times and then go in the back of the cupboard to gather dust till his next visit but why not? A little bit of kindness and thought goes a very long way in this world of today I feel and as none of us have that many years left, we can always leave it to the great grand kids in the will - lol. Off now to see if Halos have the desired gadget!
Many thanks for the offer Enchanted - I may yet have to ask for the favour but hopefully I can get one here.

Hope Halos have one. They certainly have a lot more kitchen gadgets than they used to that's for sure. The main reason for getting rid of mine was that people (including myself) always seemed to be burning our tongues, the heat stayed in for such a long time.

Success - Mods can close the thread if you wish no, thank you. Halos had one left - display model - now they have none! It was a small one and the plates are not removable but I think for the amount of time it will get used it will be no problem.
Thanks to all for the help!
