Does anyone know if you can take rubbish to the tip in Lapta?

What a breath of fresh air - somebody who wants to dump rubbish in the right place! I can't see you being done for fly tipping, go for it.

Do they still set fire to the tip? When we lived in Baspinar we were warned by our neighbours that the rubbish would be burned by the council. The rubbish was burned in a " controlled fire" over a weekend. The black smoke was a nightmare. The smell was awful but it was ok, cos it was "controlled" which meant setting fire to it on a Friday night and leaving it to burn all weekend !!

It would appear to be a common practice. About three years ago the Esentepe Bashkan was disciplined for allowing his Belidye rubbish tip to burn even when the court had ordered him to put it out due to the smell, smoke and risk of further fires to bordering areas/people.
