Clocks changing on Sunday - a question
LGC News has just posted: "Clocks will go back by one hour at 03.00 on Sunday, March 31, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said. Summer time will continue until Sunday, October 27.". Is this correct? I would have thought that they would have gone forward by one hour in line with the RoC.

Thanks Dalartokat. So, it appears that either LGC News or the Office of the Prime Minister have got it wrong.

I thought you were on Turkey time. Turkey opted out of Daylight Saving and don’t change their clocks. It is confusing.

Spring back fall forward!
D when Turkey first stopped changing the clocks (I think two years ago) the TRNC followed suit but last year they reverted to being the same as Europe and I assume they are doing the same this year!

Clocks spring forward (March] and fall back (October)
So clocks will go forward tonight by one hour or to be more precise early hours of tomorrow morning.....

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
When I fly into Istanbul in May, they will be 2 hours ahead of North Cyprus, as opposed to the 1 hour at present?

They are currently on 'Summer Time' (GMT+3) and will remain so.
TRNC will also be on 'Summer Time', so Turkey and TRNC will be on the same time!

Re: Clocks changing on Sunday - a question
So it is when the clocks change in October that we go out of sinc with Turkey? Right? (question)
According to the new the EU is now talking about letting countries decide whether or not they want to change from summer time, so it will be even more confusing

Yes RR October is when we change our clocks and Turkey do not so we are an hour out with them but the same as the south of Cyprus. (Well that's how it's worked the last couple of years anyway)

Re: Clocks changing on Sunday - a question
Just wait till 2021 when in the EU (are we are are we not) will all stay the same - but then every EU country can decide which time to stay on when the changes stop. Confused? Just think of it as a continuation of Brexit and everything becomes clear - lol.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
