Electric hob.....location of dealers
As it says really. We are wanting to replace our gas hob with an electric one and struggling to find many options. We are in Catalkoy and have looked in Tunc, Technomega and Karakum Beko and whilst they all have one on display that is all they have. Where else could we look please? Not that it matters much but the oven is a Bloomberg but do not know who sells that make.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.

It seems Halos (at end of dual carriageway towards Lapta) have a good range you can look on their website under ‘Ocak’

Go to Toros Ltd in Kyrenia. Ask for Ibrahim, speaks perfect English. Say Mrs Carol sent you.
Coming from Chatalkoy with the harbour behind you, drive through Bellapais traffic lights, at small round about keep right until the Nicosia roundabout. Do not take the road to Nicosia, drive on pass Turkcell on left hand side and Starling. Toros is on the other side of the road, so you need to drive to the next round about and double back on yourself.

Are they not willing to part with the display models for a little discount? We wanted a particular gas model from Beko, Lefkoşa and all they had left was the display model so we took that and negotiated a discount.
Just a question about switching from gas to electric, what do you do in a power cut? You can also get hobs which are mixed, 1 or 2 rings of both.
Have you looked in Halos at Karakum? Arçelik, Vestel the latter 2 have branches in various locations.
Here's a link to Arçelik website where you can navigate to arçelik, Beko and Grundig websites. Search for 'ocak' which is Turkish for hob, they have a variety of induction ones. http://www.arcelikas.com/page/80/Brands
The prices displayed may be for mainland Turkey so the products may be a bit more expensive here.

Thanks everyone for the speedy responses. Will have a look at all of those.
What will we do when the power goes off? Go out to eat and keep warm I guess.

Was sat opposite there an hour ago and never saw it. Damn! Thanks a lot will put it on the list for a drive round tomorrow.
Incidentally no one in any of the shops has mentioned them only having the model on display so I guess I need to ask. Arcelik in town only had one model and no price displayed so the awkward part of me refuses to ask.

For blomberg drive out of Girne on the by pass towards Lapta ,at the the roundabout where the Manderin chinese is on your left, turn right down past the university to the bottom junction, bear left and almost immediately on the right there is a row of shops with a blomberg dealers there.
If you miss it turn into the petrol station on the right and go back.Hope this helps.

I never buy anything but Blomberg/Grundig and always from the same place. The store at the bottom of the GAU road, next to the K-Pet Garage. It is family run business, ask for the wife Gul. They stock all sorts of Grundig models and if they don't have what you want, it takes them no more than 48 hours to get it. At least that has been our experience. When I was in there last time, they had a lovely halogen model. Have pm'd you.
