What do people use over here instead of lard? Managed to get it once in Ileli supermarket, but haven’t seen it since. Thanks

Lard is available in Alphamega on the Greek side. it is in the first isle were the butter and marg are.

Occasionally Tempo have lard, the brands are Kerry maid and more recently Kilverts. We usually buy a good supply when it comes in.

Very often the Pork Shop has the most wonderful Lard and cheaper than the stores. But if I cant get it I use the Ulker Terem Yag.

if your wanting it to make pastry i use remia gold its in a block and it has the lowest amount of water in it of any margarin so keeps your pastry crisp

Spry comes in tins and makes great pastry. Illelli normally have it

Use a slow cooker,add your pork fat and a little water and voila! Pure lard!
