Pool advice

Hi guys
I keep getting water in the pump room so need something like a sump pump to empty it. Two questions
1 where to buy one
2 what are they called ?

We had the same problem .
Bought a submersible water pump for dirty water there is also one for clean water from YAR there were several different choices .

Hi Terry,
with regards to your pump room filling with water, I assume it is an overflow pool. have you got an overflow drain pipe in the balance tank to stop it filling up? this will help stop water migrating from the balance tank to the pump room. Also a removable cover over the pump room trap door will help in the winter.

things that amaze me about the construction o pools here are,

why on earth dont they put a sump hole in the pump room, our feeble attempt was to leave a tile out where a sump pool can fit.

why is the pump room floor level the same as the level as the deep end of the pool. when draining the pool the suction entry to the pump will always be several inches higher than the lowest level than what can be pumped
from the pool.

why fit the non return valve on the inlet (dirty) side of the pump so it can get jammed up with leaves.

why not make it easy to fill the suction hose with water when vacuming the pool with the inclusion of a couple of valves that allows me to pump water from the pump to the vacuum head, switch over a few valves and star to vacuum.

Rather alot of assumptions that all are the same , Cyprus Pools built mine , none of the above true , quality build , but you get what you pay for

Does anyone know how to get rust off a stainless still pool ladder. It has formed at the water level area.

sorry, but my experience of north cyprus is that most work is done really poor, the points i made are down to my experience and if you have had a better one, well good.

This looks as if it will work, rather than remove the ladder, drop the water level in the pool.
