Kayaking

Are there any restrictions / laws regarding kayaking off the coast in TRNC?
Am I ok to just find a suitable spot and launch?

Had no problems so far, I am not aware of any relevant laws. Obviously you should respect private property, and in particularly military camps along the coast, the soldiers just wave and the NCOs shout at them - but it might escalate if you decided to land and lunch on one of their beaches (which look very nicely kept).
There is a military small arms firing range near Lapta, and it is virtually impossible to see the warning flags from the water - in any case one red flag looks much like another - doh!
