Problems getting eVisa for Turkey
Has any applied for a Turkish eVisa recently with any success? I have been trying through the Government site for the past two days. I can get right to the very end, even down to the Security verification, which tells me all ok, then I get an error message saying not successful, try again. I have tried numerous times with different cards, but no joy. I have contacted the Government office and waiting for a response, but wondered if anyone else has had problems.

I applied the other day, got it without a problem. Check with your card provider, they've brought in new security for online purchases where they send a code to your registered mobile phone by sms, very frustrating if you haven't updated your phone details with the card provider.

Applied for 2 yesterday without problem, used the official site https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/. $20 each which came up as £31.64.
Don't forget to keep a paper copy with you - the foreign office advises having a paper copy with you at all times and UK airlines are, allegedly, refusing carriage to passengers travelling to Turkey who cannot produce a paper copy.

Thank you for the replies. I really don't know what the problem is but since contacting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, my husband's has now been approved and sent, I am still awaiting mine, but trust it will turn up. Yes, I always print off a copy. No explanation was given as to why the problem occurred but at least we have one sorted. I had also checked with my card provider, don't think they are the problem though, as I had updated all my info. Still awaiting a response from them. Just glad I did not leave it til the last minute.
